As of today is 3.0.0.478 still the latest beta? It feels like things have slowed down quite a bit lately and I haven't installed a new beta in a long time.

As far as I know .478 is the latest. HS has a lot going on (and it is the end of the year) so I suspect that we will see releases in the future.

I've been using HS for almost 20 years now - started in the summer of 1999. I think I bought the software from SmartHome for $39.99
There's a few of us original users around from back in the day.

That is the correct place to look for official beta releases. Some people test the downloads section of the homeseer website and find a newer version, but until they are put on the beta release page, they are not official. Occasionally Rich will post a version in a thread to address a particular problem, but until it is on the beta release page, it is not meant for broad release.
