Should I run .478 or .484 on SEL

In the official beta sticky most recent is shown as .478 (system-software-controllers/hs3-hs3pro-software/hs3-pro-beta-releases )

It states at the bottom of the page to install on a SEL via the setup page. My setup page shows and installs .484. I've been troubleshooting a couple of plugins and developers were wondering why I running a non-official beta version.

Should I down rev my install from .484 to .478? If so can I just use the posted Linux tar file from the official post? I've gone through the pain of getting mono upgraded to 5.18 will that tar screw that up again?

Have not paid much attention lately to the Homeseer betas as I have having no issues running 3.0.0.449 (Linux) on the two HS3 boxes (arm and intel). I do update the OS about once a week here. (mono now takes a long time to upgrade).

As long as you have a copy of the Homeseer directory then a downgrade should be no issue. Homeseer 3 version should not affect the Mono version what ever it is.

There are stated issues relating to version of Mono and use of ASPX.

For a while I was upgrading to every new Homeseer 3 beta. Nowadays may only upgrade plugins here.

HS3 .478 has issues that effect parent/child devices and causes problems with various plugins. I would advise against .478

Anyone figured out if HS3 Standard/Pro look for a file to detect when it's running on a SEL box that causes the upgrade button to show up along with what script actually gets run? I'm just wondering if we somehow might be able to use it when running on Linux systems not running on a SEL?

IT not just running on SEL, it is something in their preloaded image. I blew away the drive on my SEL and loaded 18.04 with mono 5.18. I do not get the upgrade button.

I think the upgrade script only checks for "releases" and not "Beta" versions.....
