    Virtual Device Clock

Hello. I am wanting to create a virtual device to keep time for my HS Touch tablets to keep the time in sync vs using the tablet time which wanders. I have read several posts on the forums on how people have achieved this, but wanted to see if what I did it the most efficient or if there is a better way to go about it.

    I have a virtual device

Then I created an even that runs every 20 seconds to update the device.

Is there an different way than having the event update the device or would this be the best way?

    Thanks!

Long time ago where I created this, but you do not need events to keep time on HSTouch, you only need to make sure every touch interface is running at the same timezone (which is nowadays no issue normally)? And then add a text box like this:

Click image for larger version Name:	image.png Views:	0 Size:	9.4 KB ID:	1631527

    Ready, set and go?

    1210 devices/features ---- 392 events ----- 40 scripts

The issue I have found with that is, that pulls the time from the actual tablet. I don't allow the tablets to have access to the internet due to updates messing with the settings, so the time always seems to get off. My wife keeps getting upset there several different times throughout the house haha. That is why I wanted to keep it centralized at the server level vs on the device.

I just update a virtual device every minute and just show hh:mm with no seconds.
