Hello all,
Years ago on another system I had a weather screen and had zero issues getting the feeds to work. Now today, I can't get any of them to work.
I followed the instructions to obtain the API key from World Weather. Put it in HS in the HStouch server plug in.
I then go to the designer, choose the default World Weather link, then hit "get data" and in the screen below is a single box with the message "User account does not exist, please visit www..."
So then I tried other services and most of them give me this message:
"At 0, Data at the root level is invalid. Line 1, Position 1"
I noticed in the link that is generated when you select world weather there are parts of the link that appear to want data. I have even tried adding them directly which then generates the root level warning above. The information is in brackets with the "$" sign as the first character. Perhaps I am unclear what part of this you replace with your relevant information, do you remove the brackets? Do you remove the dollar sign?
Any help or direction would be greatly appreciated. I have been trying to do this for days, just for a simple outdoor temperature display on my main screen. Thanks all,
John
PS this is what the link looks like that is generated in the RSS screen:
http://free.worldweatheronline.com/feed/weather.ashx?q=[$LATITUDE],[$LONGITUDE]&format=xml&num_of_days=5&key=[$WEATHERAPIKEY]
