Is anyone else still using the Windows Client?

I have had ongoing discussions with HomeSeer Support (support@homeseer.com) for the past couple weeks regarding a couple of long-standing bugs that need to be fixed for a project I am working on. I've basically been told that the Windows client is obsolete and they don't plan to fix the bugs I have reported.

The support tech has repeatedly told me that the Windows client is "intended for testing purposes" and that I should be using the Android or iOS client because "HSTouch is intended for iOS and Android environments". Their suggestion for Windows access is "connecting to the web interface from find.homeseer.com or myhs.homeseer.com".

Is this really the case? Am I the only one still using the HSTouch Windows Client?

I’ve let them know I’m using the Windows clients at several locations at our business as well as in my home. Not sure that the few that I operate will make any kind of difference to them or not. If the Windows client is where one would build the initial project and is supposed to be used for testing purposes, and the Windows client has the most bugs, how can it be used to test? Seems like it should work the best in the environment that we build, test and deploy it from.....

I'm still using the Windows client and plan to do so for a long time. The Web interface just doesn't work for my family. My kitchen computer is the center of operations. Not sure where to send a note to HST.

I only use Window clients(4 web tablets) and plan to use for a long time. The HS server has some problems serving those clients(In my case the tablets use a lot of .aspx page fetches and often the server gets confused and I get a log error entry) and I have seen others complain but never see HS support taking an interest.

Have a 23" i7 Lenovo All In One Touchscreen in my foyer and I have it loaded on all the laptops and desktops in the house. 11+ installs.

Also use Windows client for 2 screens. Mixed environment here, but main 23” touch screen is Windows.

I am using the windows client in the living room.
Build a 15 inch screen in te wall for operating everything and is allways on when at home.
Also using a laptop on another location with HSTouch.
Using Android phone only for quick switching something and then close HSTouch.

I am still using the Windows client here along with speaker dot exe and SAPI on the clients; works great and not changing.

Maybe we should do a poll of users of the Windows client?

Lately been tweaking the easy peasy VPN client client configuration for Windows 10 which works really well now with PFSense.

                      teladog01,

Could you post the bugs you're finding? Maybe if a bunch of us can confirm the bugs and start calling support, they'll take an interest.

I am using the windows client. It plays a central role in my house, using a small windows machine with a touch screen.
