HS3/PRO to HS4/PRO on Hometroller SE

*sigh* I have spent hours trying to follow the update directions from https://helpdesk.homeseer.com/articl...upgrade-to-hs4

I am at the current level of HS3: 3.0.0.550. I have rebooted.

Then when I go to find.homeseer.com and pick Maintenance, I expecting to find an option to update as documented in the instructions:

Once you have your SEL nearby, navigate to find.homeseer.com and select Maintenance next to your system. You will see the new Maintenance page with an updated look, feel, and options. Select Upgrade in the Upgrade to HS4 section of the Main page.

Nope. Not there. It suggests using Main.php instead of Main.html - 404 - page not found.

Where do I find the REAL directions to update on the hometroller SEL HS3/PRO to HS4/PRO?

And yes, I tried to signup for the new support board. After an hour, no confirming email. Must not allow signups on the weekends or something.

When you do the preparation part and go to Tools→Setup→General what version does it show you are running. A screen print would be useful.

So what to you see when you go to find.homeseer.com? Is there a maintenance link? What happens when you click on the maintenance link. The more detailed info you provide the easier it will be to help you.

Yes, there is a maint link and it takes me here.

Looking at the file details of this part of the web server, I see:

            root@hometrollerSEL:/var/www/php/var/www/php# ls -lt /var/www/php
            total 80
            -rwxrwxrwx 1 root root 3758 Nov 20 2014 Main.html

The pic you posted shows version 1.0 and the upgrade instructions say it should be v1.1

Did you change /php/main.html to /php/main.php

I can't get any reasonable help on this. I got this email back today:
                      Tyler replied Jul 13, 3:17pm
How is it that you were having registration trouble if HS4 was not installed yet? Is the controller still running HS3? If so, what version of the maintenance page do you have?

                      Regards,

I don't even think He read my email. I clearly stated I cant get to the install page or the new maintenance page. Also, maybe I'm reading it wrong but it sounds like a smart@ss response, lol. This customer support is horrible. It takes a day or two to respond back to you.

When I contacted support today, I was simply referred to the same update page that we went over and over.

I did find the following topic: https://forums.homeseer.com/forum/hs...arefully/page1

And I am working my way through the details now.

Smashburn - I will let you know what response I get back from help desk. I have the exact same issue. I have tried from 2 different devices and 3 different browsers.

exact same issue each time. I can’t get to maintenance screen 1.1.

                          i can get to 1.0, but not 1.1. When I change main.html to main.php I get the 404 error.

my browser shows 10.0.0.22:911/php/main.html. But change html to php, then 404 error.

Anyone making any progress? I heard back from tech support and they want me to re-install .550, but I see no option to do so. Thoughts?
