Use HS4 license for HS3

I'd like to move to HS4 (from HS3) for my home automation system and my sister in law purchasing the update license hs3-->hs4.
If something wrong and or if I should have some issue/problem with HS4, is possible to use the HS4 license or the "old" HS3 license and move again to HS3 software?
I could to use the "old" HS3 and waiting for some fix (if HS4 should have bugs).

I think you can. I am currently running my HS3 licence on my production and my HS4 upgrade licence on my test system since I have not switched over to HS4 in production.
