    Nortec HUSBZB-1 Won't Initialize

I have loaded the driver per these instructions.
    https://helpdesk.homeseer.com/articl...e-driver-setup

I can add an interface and select the port. When I add it, as a Z-Wave.me UZB, it tries to initialize but never does.

How do we get it to initialize? thanks

Zigbee/Z-Wave interfaces and COM ports got somehow mixed up?

HUSBZB-1 generally appears as two adjacent ports. The lower numbered one is the Z-Wave and the higher one Zigbee.

You do need to run the add driver procedure for each individually.

          * in theory -- I haven't actually connected to it under Windows 10!

More info: to determine which port is which,

In device manager, select one of the ports, right click & select Properties
Go to Details tab, select property 'Bus reported device description'
Value will be 'HubZ Z-Wave Com Port' or 'HubZ ZigBee Com Port'.

zwolfpack Thanks for the reply. I got the nortec z-wave to initialize but not the nortec zigbee. They were on com4 and com5 respectively. So I will have to look at it another day.

Ok, new issue. I got the z-wave part of the controller to initialize but when I tried to transfer info from the current z-wave controller to the nortec z-wave section of the stick it said the controller is unable to enter the Learn mode.

How do I get past this one? TIA

                  What procedure are you following?

I don't know what 'learn mode' is. I was able to transfer node data to a HUSBZB-1 using the restore function of the Z-Wave plugin.

I am obviously doing it wrong. Could you give a quick list of steps based on what you said above? Thanks

I didn't find those. Must have searched for the wrong thing. That will work great. Thanks again.
