Native way to call a webservice

I'm currently using scripting for external webservices, is there a better way? It would be nice to have an ACTION within an event which could be used to call a web service.

Like in node-red theres a http-request node, surely many users would benefit from this?

I didn't have any need for this up to this point but I could imagine it could be useful. I also don't know of any way to do this besides scripts. Maybe check jon00 site. The weblink is in his profile. He might have something. You can also submit a suggestion on https://homeseer.com/contact-us/ You need to register and then you can submit a bug or feature request.

Also check Node-RED. I am not very familiar with it but it seems pretty powerful from what I see. It might be able to do what you want to do.

Thanks, I'm already using the HS nodes within node-red, it should just be nice to be able to do a webservice request directly within HS.
