    Robots

I noticed this in the log this morning - should I have a robots.txt?

Warning File does not exist: C:\Program Files (x86)\HomeSeer HS4\html\robots.txt

Its a file checked by web crawlers for indexing etc. If your HS system is not facing the Internet, I'm not sure what would be checking that file.

    More details here:

As it appears to be an HS generated error, my question in should I have one?
My HS has internet access for MyHS.

Its only a HS error because the Webcrawler/BOT is requesting that file (which you don't have). You would get the same error if any file was trying to be served which does not exist.

If you don't want to see the error put an empty file called robots.txt in your html directory.

          Now I understand - thank you. :-)
