HS4 Release Announcements 4.2 is available

HomeSeer HS4 4.2 has been released!

This build targets usability issues throughout the application. There are 80+ changes/enhancements.

See the release notes for a full list of changes.

Highlights:

* For the grid view you can now specify which features you want to display on the grid, up to 2 features with controls and up to 5 status only features
* In the device properties the features tab allows you to rearrange the features display order, select whether a feature is to be displayed or not, or hidden
* When clicking on a device in grid view it brings up a list view of all features so they can be controlled or edited. This is the same view as the devices list view
* Colors of buttons have been changed and are now consistent
* New pop-up message dialogs
* New checking for saved changes and warned if leaving a page or tab with unsaved changes
* You can hide Beta plugins on the plugins page
* In the device properties the Save/Cancel buttons now float so no scrolling is needed to save changes
* New layout for device properties
* New layout for backup/restore page
* New setup wizard that walks a new user through setting up the system

I have a HomeTroller with HS 4.1.17.0 currently installed that will NOT update to 4.2.0.0. The system has a 32GB card installed. Looking for a resolution to this installation issue.

I have upgraded to 4.2. But after that the AK Ikea plugin stopped working. When HS4 is freshly started it gives status OKAY, but if I try to use it turns red, and sometimes disappears. And might shift to INFO: Plugin start is pending.

Don't know if it's a plugin problem or HS4 problem, but it worked until the 4.2 upgrade

I will try it with that Ubuntu version, it seems to work ok with Debian, that is what I used to test.

If you can shut down HS from the tools menu, then SSH in and then run ./go in the HS folder, then try to update from the web, you can then watch the console messages and see if it displays an error.

It's all over my log since upgrading to 4.2. There is no consistent device or PI before of after the error and I'm not sure how to track it down.

I have not found anything in 4.2 that doesn't work as expected yet.

That error is coming from the devices.html page. Are you viewing the grid view or the list view? Any filters set? Close all the browsers viewing the site and re-open. If no change, apply a filter to the page, maybe look at one location and see if the error goes away. It might be that a device is messing up the back end code and the page cannot display the location properly.

It's all over my log since upgrading to 4.2. There is no consistent device or PI before of after the error and I'm not sure how to track it down.

I have not found anything in 4.2 that doesn't work as expected yet.

Cert issue is fixed, so you should be good now.

Just downloaded 4.1.17.0 and the same issue remains.

I have to many issue since 4.1.18 so will stay there for a while
