    Virtual Device & Linked Device

I have a virtual devices and created a new feature but duplicating the original feature. The under Lined Device I selected an on/off device (switch). The idea was, that the feature would track the device's status incl. the time when the last status change happened. However, the last changed date/time stays the same. The status also doesn't update. Am I misunderstanding the linked device feature (I only used it for master-slave switches so far) or does it not work with virtual devices?

I don't have an answer for you, but I'm also struggling with HS4 VD's. Would be real nice if HS had a detailed user manual to go with it.

I'm curious, why create a duplicate feature that mirrors the original feature?

There is some online documentation. Go to https://homeseer.com/support-home and scroll a bit down.

I don't want to track the status of the original feature. Instead, I want to track the status of another device. It is related to this thread https://forums.homeseer.com/forum/ho...sable-function In short, I want to turn off lights automatically after x minutes. However, when the light is turned of automatically but then is turned on again after y seconds then I don't want it to automatically turn off again (until the next day). So I created a virtual device that has an on/off feature to control the automatic off function. But I also need to know when the light last automatically turned off and then on again so I can check if I need to disable the auto off feature. So I created a second feature to track that status of the light. However, the feature in the virtual plugin doesn't seem to track the status.
