I normally would install HS4 updates by shutting down, backing up the HS4 folder, and then restarting to check for updates. That's worked fine for me but this morning I decided to try the 'Install Update' button on the Setup page. Bad Choice. While I got a warning about restarting my system after the update, I read that as restarting HS. Nope, that's not the case. Since I run on Windows 10 Pro, I have many other tasks running on the same system besides HS4. At the end of the installation the system was HARD REBOOTED without even a graceful shutdown. I was left with a corrupted HomeAssistant VM as well as several other hung tasks when the system restarted.
Just thought I'd warn others.
