No Events & Very Few Devices with Older Versions of HS

Before making some significant changes I create a copy of the HSx folder. In the past I could just shut down the latest current version I am running and start an older version from those backups. All the events and devices would be there (except for the changes I made). However, for backups sometime before (and including) September that is not the case. No events show up and only a handful of devices show up. Has anybody else seen this? It could be around the time when I switched from the 500 series z-wave dongle to the 700 series dongle. But why would this make the events disappear?

I've never had a problem and do this frequently. Just tested and all is well. I cannot see that the Z-Wave interface could have anything to do with Events and Devices.

Thanks. I was looking for an event that I previously set up and I wanted to recreate it in HS4 by looking how I did this before. I will just redo it but it is still strange that I can't go back to older versions.
