Downgrade from 4.2.12.0 to 4.2.11.0 due to possible bug (events stop working)

I need to downgrade my HD4 from 4.2.12.0 to 4.2.11.0 to find out if this is a bug in 4.2.12.0
I have posted this here before, my events stop working for an hour or longer. Since updating HS4 I have not updated any PI's, and this keeps happening now so I think this could well be a bug. I have updated quite a few events so do not want to loose the work I have done. I have a backup of my HS4 folder which I could just copy over, but then I would loose all the work I have done since.

Reverting to a previous version on Windows:

Uninstall HS4 (it will not remove any config files, plugins, etc.). Then install your previous version and install into the same folder as your previous install.

Ok great. That does keep my events ? And are the previous versions still available to download ? There used to be a directory with previous versions, I am sure I can find it through google

Yes, when you update to a newer version of HS, it uninstalls the last (keeping the settings) and then updates. You are just doing this first step manually to downgrade.

Ok I'll give that a try over the bank holiday weekend. Events have just come back after 90 mins not working... Lets see if they are any issues on 4.2.11.0. If it happens every couple of days, it should not be long before I know, then I can report it as a bug to HS
