What kind of Device? If a plugin owns it, the plugin will have to rebuild it.

There are 4 parent devices with reference to features that no longer exist. You might need to use Jon00’s grouping plugin to fix the references. It appears that there are features assigned to the parent that are no longer there. That usually means the features were manually deleted. How did you create these devices?

grouping is not the issue. and I used his tool which got me to the listed error. is there a way to edit the actual database?

The relationships are stored in the devices. Jon’s plug-in edits those relationships. Just pull up the parent device and clear it using Delete Device Relationship Status on those devices, which should show as ROOT. Within the root device it references all the Features assigned to it.

You just select the childless parent(t) in the top drop-down of Jon’s plugin, then Next. That will remove the references to any child devices. It doesn’t delete any devices.
