How can I restore lost Z-Wave nodes?

I discovered that my UZB1 controller contains just a few of my 32 nodes. Interestingly, I can still control my "lost" nodes from HS4 Pro (I have no idea why this works!). The problem is that when I try to add new nodes, it starts overwriting the lost nodes and creates all kinds of havoc. I don't have a known good copy of a file from which I can restore the controller. Is there some easy way of getting the node information from the devices back into the controller? I'm trying to avoid having to reset the controller and manually re-including all 32 devices!

I have the same question, though I am using Homeseer Smartstick+ HS4 hometroller plus

I have been losing nodes for 5 years now. A loss of power will do it.

How do we sort out node numbers that exist in the z-wave controller that orphans?

I have 73 nodes. DO I have to reset the controller and factory reset all my node devices?
