    Controller Issue

I noticed none of my automations were working on my main floor this morning (I have 2 controllers).

I saw the main controller was disabled so I thought it may be network issue.

I'm able to ping the controller and bring up its web page so I'm certain the ip is correct.

However I can't get Homeseer to talk to it.

A couple of things you can try:
    1) Disable plug in and then enable it; or
    2) Shut down HomeSeer and restart.

      Thanks for the reply.

I have disabled the z-wave plug in and re-enabled it.

I have rebooted the controller and the homeseer computer.

They just don't seem to be able to communicate.

      The log says

Oh, okay, the old "Only one system may connect..." problem. That has been discussed somewhere else on this board (not sure where, at the moment). However, take a look in the "Config" folder for Z-Wave.ini, which you can open with note pad, and see if there is anything funky there regarding devices (e.g., duplicates or incorrect IP addresses for interfaces).

Thanks for the help, but it appears OK. I don't see a duplicate or IP error.

Would removing the Backup_interfaces section help?

          Here is what I have

Sorry, I can't see any issues with your Z-Wave.ini file. Do you have a backup to compare with? Also, take a look here for suggestions: https://forums.homeseer.com/forum/ho...wave-interface

              Thank you again.

There is a file Z-wave.ini.bak in the same folder but it is identical and has the same timestamp.

I reviewed the thread and tried disabled the controller, rebooting the controller, and re-enabling it and it did not help.

I also rebooted the server again just for good measure but no luck.

I have created a support ticket as well

Can you ping 192.168.1.141 from your HS computer? That "generic" log message is usually an indication that HS didn't get a response from the interface. The last time I had this happen, I put a monitor/keyboard on the Z-Net and found that it was not booting. Re-flashed a new SD card and all worked again.

                Hope this helps.

Yes, I am able to ping the controller from the HS computer. I can also access the web page for the controller from the HS computer.

Also, I have temporarily disabled the firewall on the HS computer.

I have seen problems with Z-Nets not properly populating the ARP tables for hostname. Try configuring it as an Ethernet Interface at 192.168.1.141 and port 2001. See if it will connect by IP.

I was able to add it as an Ethernet Interface. However nothing is working at the moment.

Attempting to connect to the controller gets:
ControllerFunction/Start cannot be called with the main interface of the target API=Nothing

That is odd to have 2 connected interfaces yet only one showing. Just confirming that Basement is at a different IP. If you have two controllers at different IP addresses, yet only 1 HomeID showing, it would seem that the controller at 141 has been erased or has a bad daughtercard. I sent you a PM.
