HS4 speaker again.

Hi, I'm having the same problem as klundysr below. Speech works great from the windows 10 select box but not in my events.
I've tried Petes solution in the speech cpl screen and they talk fine there. I tried HS "Kate & Paul" and they also speak from that
Window. How and where can you troubleshoot the speech function. I've been flipping between HS3 & 4 because HS3 works so well.

OK, I'm sure all of you know better, but I didn't. My Homeseer speaker app was not opening alongside HS4. Now, when I run HS4, and manually open the speaker app, the TTS works. When I noticed that the speaker app wasn't opening automatically, I guess I thought the speak function had disappeared as an independent app and had now been incorporated into HS4. That was an incorrect assumption.

Just like HS3 the speaker client will launch with HomeSeer only if selected in settings.

You can also add a shortcut to the speaker.exe client in your window startup folder if you have it on a separate PC.
