    Pro-100 Compatability Support

    The AC RF processor is an desired product for my Pro-100 package sales strategy.

    After reading the thread below, you will discover that updater package file size is restricting installation in the limited space currently available to the Pro-100 D: drive. (10mb in my current config)

    I ask that you provide assistance in addressing this issue for the pro-100 dealer market and perhaps build a special updater for the pro-100 product line that includes all NECESSARY files and a seperate updater package or download file for the docs etc...

    HS HELPDESK INFORMATION---------------------

    I installed the AC RF Processor

    I purchased the AC RF processor
    I was given
    Product: AC RF Processor
    License ID: xxxx
    Password: xxxx

    I enter the information for on-line registration

    Pro-100 displays-------
    Registration error!
    Bad license file

    EDIT I performed the un-protect feature before running updater.

    Please use the HomeSeer updater functionality if at all possible. The updater has the ability to install or update system components that may be required by the plug-in. If for some reason you need to manually install the plug-in you must make sure the latest versions of msstdfmt.dll and tabctl32.ocx are installed and registered on your system. These two files are generally located in your windows system(32) directory. The ACRFComm.dll file must be present and the hspi_ACRF.ocx file must be present and registered in your HomeSeer directory for the plug-in to work properly.

    msstdfmt.dll is NOT in windows/system32
    tabctl32.ocx is in windows/system32

    Neal,

    Please shutdown HomeSeer, then delete the file "AC RF Processor.lf" from the "HomeSeer 2\config" folder. Finally try to install update from the Updater again.

    EDIT The file is not found at that location
    I cleaned the disk to allow 316mb on C: 13.6 on D:
    Install fails and reduces the available space on D: to 0mb

    EDIT After further examination I note the following
    Updates2 = 33mb
    zips = 1.49
    ACRF Plugin1.1.0.11 = 11.6mb
    administrator local settings = 82mb
    HS2 directory = 35.6mb

    I have installed a USB drive as E: and have offloaded the files to it.

    Can I manually Install from a drive other than D:

    Neal,

    There is currently no way to install an update from another drive.

    I'm going to turn this help ticket over to another staff member who might have more ideas about how to resolve.

    EDIT Is there a portion of a developers kit or sdk that a semi technical person can read to gain the knowledge to better understand the updater theory of operation. Is it available to non developers.

    Is it ok to just delete files from a zip and let updater log errors.

    There is no other doc other than the SDK. If you delete a file from the zip, you should delete its line from the install.txt file otherwise the error may cause the update to fail.
