I have seen this reported in the past, but so far we are not able to re-create it here on any system. Is this on Windows only? Are any web pages open on nay system when you use Z-Tool? Does it only happen when add device, remove a device, both? Or any other Z-Wave function? What type of device are you adding, and does that matter?

I have a Hometroller Pro and do not have any windows open, just HS3 running and the Homeseer Speaker window open. I personally have just experienced it when adding a z-wave device and so far it hasn’t happened with any other function. It does happen with either with Z-Tool or the HS Web UI, not just Z-Tool. It doesn’t seem to matter what type of device that I am adding, it has happened with HS light switches, dimmers and also Qubino devices.

This happens for any z-wave device I add via z-tool+ via my android phone. I have attached screen captures of what occurs when removing a device. I ran two test. First test is where I clicked the remove device and aborted it after 10 prompts to start the exclusion process on the device. The second test is where I removed the device immediately. From the graph for test 2, you can see the z-wave mono cpu drop after the device was removed. However, there was a increase in z-wave cpu afterwards which persisted. During an add, I do not see this short drop in z-wave cpu as you can see from the graphs in my previous post.
I do not have this issue when using HS web interface (chrome on windows). This is the same two tests performing an add of the same z-wave device.

What version Z-Wave plugin is this? Also, what type of Z-Wave interface? SmartStick+ or Z-Net?

This on Hometroller S6 (Windows 7), running latest released versions.

Found this thread, and it's exactly what I still experience!
Is nothing done with this bug?
Using Z-tool when adding, my server could increase the speed of the fan after a few minutes.
Even just open Z-tool on my Iphone and just do a "node connectivity", will after approximately two minutes raise the CPU usage in the same manner as adding a node.
I noticed that the CPU usage for the Z-wave plugin was around 30-50% and would stay there until I disabled/enabled the plugin.
Also checked the tip from post #28 and this also work.
It seems that the Z-tool opens a connection or something that does not closes down.
Using HS4 4.1.4 (tested from 4.1.3 to 4.1.5), Z-wave plugin 3.0.2.0
Windows 10 pro.
There are workaround for this problem, but I would be nice if the bug was taken care of.
Thanks!
