Can't get audio to play via event

I'm trying to set up an event to play brown noise on some Nest hubs. The "test" in the plugin's Chromecasts Management works, and plays a voice through the speaker.

But when I run the event, nothing happens. This is the test event I configured:

This is an old post. Sorry you didn't get any help.

When I want to play sounds through my speakers I use the native HomeSeer "Play an Audio File" action with my desired speaker or speaker group selected. I recommend using speaker groups if you wish to target multiple speakers at the same time.

Note my file is in c:\Program Files (x86)\HomeSeer HS3\Media\. File location might matter. I don't remember.

In your example, the Media URL is not a valid URL. If it's going to work at all, you need to provide a URL that your Chromecast device would be able to access. For example: http://192.168.1.100:8080/folder/filename.mp3. My guess is that is what "Play an Audio File" does under the hood when a Chromecast device is selected. I would just use "Plan an Audio File" and only mess with this plugin's "Cast Media" action if you want to cast something other than an audio file, for example a camera's video stream.
