Ring cameras auto discoverable by HS4?

Thank you! That did it. That and the fact that I am working with both the Alexa app and the Ring app and I turned on one of the motion settings in one app but forgot to turn it on in the other one. Routines are working in HS now. Great app.

Note that the camera can report "motion" (unrecognized) or "human" (CV determined it was a human) or other types of motion (package delivery, pickup ....). If it reported human your event wouldn't have triggered. Actually from the "Last Event" info, I can see that the "detection_type" = "human" so you need to change your events to trigger on what kind of motion OR trigger when the device changes FROM no-motion.

That worked. The plug in has discovered the cameras and is active and I can set a routine using the cameras. But routine will not turn on a device. It shows no motion.

I have the Ring plugin installed and working but HS4 will not auto discover any of my Ring cameras. Does anyone else have Ring cameras that are working with HS4?

Are you asking whether HS4 natively discovers and manages Ring Cameras or whether the Ring PI automatically discovers them and manages them? The answer is no for the prior and yes for the latter.
If the plugin is not discovering them, did you accept the EULA and did you authenticate successfully?
