    Global Variable not being set

I just set this up, and it connected to my calendars, created the GoogleCaledar devices for my calendars.

I want to create a manual event that speaks todays calendar events.

    Regardless of what trigger or condition I choose, it speaks the variables: dollar sign dollar sign G L O B A L V A R cal_name

BTW, I noticed you use AmbientWeather (HS3) plugin - my AKWeather plugin supports both Local and Remote AmbientWeather API.

            I checked, it works fine.

Please note that the variables are set only when the event is triggered.

Ver 4.0.0.25 (BETA) - Added logging of setting Global Vars

Note - to install BETA you need to enable "Show Beta Plugins" on Plugins => Add page.

Then enable Log for the specific calendar.

I installed the Beta and it is working now.

                Thank you!

No problem. But BETA doesn't fix anything, just more logging

Maybe reinstalling the plugin did something? All I did was add the beta, went to the event I previous created, ran it and it worked!

As long as it is working! ;-)

                    Thank you!

                      I spoke too soon.
I went to continue programming today, and the globals were still yesterdays event. Nothing I did changed them.
I uninstalled the plug-in, rebooted it, and re-installed it.
                      All of the settings stayed.

Now its back to the original problem of not setting the globals.

                      I didn't see a HSPI_AKGoogle.Calendar.log.

What log did you want me to send you?

The plugin logs to HS log as you probably already guessed.

From your log it looks like you execute the event trigger manually - in this case of course the plugin doesn't know what calendar event to use.

You must set the real event in the calendar a couple of minutes from current time, then poll the calendar to make sure it reads the event, then wait for the trigger.

On the side note, I noticed in your log too much pollution i.e.

                            Legacy-Plugin Z-Wave Device: Water Alarms SUMP2 Sump 2 GEN2 Temperature Set to 58.28 (F)

You should probably go trough your ZWave devices and tick "Do Not Log" for each device

                              Thank you for your reply.

It has been polling my calendars every 15 minutes.
But if I run my event, it speaks the variables name. Is that because the variable is empty?

The log shows it went out and did it:

I guess I dont fully understand how this works.
Is there an in depth manual I can look at?

I wanted to create a manual event for the morning, where it would read off today's calendar events.
And another manual one at night to read tomorrow's events.
Is that something I can do? Can you step by step tell me how to do that?

As always, thank you for your time and effort.
