    Tell me a bit about your system. Windows/Linux, HS4 version etc. Also the UDM versions please.

    Did anything go wrong adding your system?

    You can try again from scratch by deleting the Unifi.ini file and start the plugin again.

      Hi.

      System is an Intel NUC - fresh install yesterday with all updates Windows 11.
      HS4 is latest version - fresh download and install yesterday on the intel machine above.

      I added to both UDM Pro and UNVR same user name and password as local only - I tried to login and it worked - I went to the setup from the plugin and got no error message - only after I was done with adding the plug in was not showing anything anymore and then showing " critical error..."

      I tried two things.
      1.) adding following system:
      UDM is a UDM Pro with UniFi OS Version 3.2.9 - Network App 8.0.28 - Access App 1.23.7

      2.) Deleting the unify.ini and start over with my UNVR (stack)
      UniFi OS Version 3.2.9 - Protect App 2.11.21

      Both end in the same error as above in my initial posting

        Since the plugin crashes quickly after startup, it won't be easy to enable logging through the plugin setup pages. So lets try to enable logging manually.

        Edit the Unifi.ini with your favorite text editor. There should be a few sections (section names are within square brackets []). Apart from [Settings], there should be a section for every UniFi system you have configured. Please add the following for every UniFi system:

        LogToFile=True
        LogReceived=True
        LogSend=True
        LogDevUpd=True
        LogConnectionErrors=True
        LogDebug=True

        Then start the plugin until it crashes again. Stop the plugin and look into the Logs directory for the logfiles. It starts with Unifi_ and ands with .log.

        Please PM me the logfiles so I can have a look. Hopefully it contains a clue to the root cause. Also include the Unifi.ini so I can see how your system is configured.

        Note that I am currently travailling so I will try to respond when I have time, but it might not be instant. Also, our timezones are about 12 hours apart.
