Version 3.0.0.11 in Beta section - implemented Authentication.

It's detected automatically and if required (Auth: True) - needs correct UserName and Password.

As listed in the first post - the Dimmer is not supported (yet) because when I created the plugin the Dimmer didn't exist. I'm waiting for Shelly to send me the dimmer for testing.

But in the mean time if you let me know what is the device type string for the dimmer (looged in the error "The device type is not supported...") - I can add the dimmer support now.

Thank you. Version 3.0.0.16 in BETA section of the updater has initial support for Dimmer. Most probably the version is not working yet.

If you can please try it and send me the log for:

              Code:
              Execute cmd: shelly
              Execute cmd: settings
              Execute cmd: status

Thanks. I’ll need to try again next week as the electrician has taken the device back. Thanks for the quick turn around. Looks promising.

In latest BETA 3.0.0.17 I started the Dimmer implementation (since I still don't have mine). Can you please give it a go?

I got the dimmer back. I've never setup a shelly device so not sure I'm doing it right. The dimmer is detected bu not working correctly. Do I need to change username and password? I tried it but not reflected in the log:

As I said before (post #21) I didn't expect it to work. I'm still waiting for my dimmer, so can't test myself.

That's a good first step, I need the replies from the dimmer (which you posted above). Now I will update my code. I'll keep you posted.

Ok - I have green ticks now and status info appearing on shelly tab for root device. Dimmer control not working.

Thank you. Controls are not implemented yet, only status. That's the next step

                                1. Implement receiving/displaing staus.
                                2. Implement cotrols
                                3. Implemet settings (optional, if required)
