• Setting brightness to 0% in JowiHue action for groups should put the lights off (lights are functioning fine)

• some temperature sensors report a large jump (-100) in the values from time to time (often a signal that batteries are going down). These jumps will no longer update the feature.

• RGB device is now showing the chosen color that should be a close match to the setting of the light.

I will be working for the next versions on making the Hue and Sat features for optional. Currently control though the RGB is stable and as more and more brands are moving away from Hue color control, it is going to be better to not rely on these controls anymore. As said, this will be optional, but also default for new installs in the near future.

Also in the near future, the naming convention of the plugin will change, to better conform to the HS4 expectations of the name for a device and the functional name for the features (eg device:Room light, features: On/Off Dim, CT, RGB, Hue, Sat --- or device: Sensor living room, features: Motion, Lightlevel, Battery, Temperature.

• Major changes haven been made to the naming of devices. Please check below for details.
• A recurring error on updating a groups color values has been solved
• Updated group handling in the APIV2 on the Philips Hue bridge
• Corrected saving settings on a Aqara FP1 sensor due to a pluginsSDK change
• Solved a false recognition of a double device
• Solved a possibility of confusing device features for a multisensor device
• Corrected a timer issue when a scan for devices was started
• several smaller improvements

The naming of devices in the plugin has been a challenge for way too long time. It should be finally under control with the latest version.
The devices will not be renamed automatically by the plugin, it will only be triggered by renaming a device, not feature as the plugin ignores those,

On renaming the device of a multisensor device it will construct the name for the bridge to <device name> <type of sensor>, just like it was before. But the features will only show the <type of sensor> name. Below two samples of a light and a multisensor device.

• Solved an issue where a device (not its features) would be renamed over and over when the length of the name of a multisensor device and its sensor extention is over 32 characters long.
• temporarely disabled renaming the device based on the name on the bridge. This is to be done by hand from now on to prevent the above issue to reoccur.

Release 4.1.0.3 August 2023

• Solved an issue where a plug device could get a wrong feature name (Plugplug). Also some sensors could show similar wrond names. This should stop from here on. To resolve existing wrong features, rename the device, wait 30 seconds and rename it back.
• Devices holding multiple plugs (power strips etc) were missed during a rename due to an error in the log. This has been resolved
• On Philips Hue bridges the plugin would create devices for groups with special functions, like entertainment groups. Creation of these devices (groups different from LightGroups, Room or Zone) is now prevented in the plugin. If you see devices for the special groups that you do not need, you can delete these devices. They will no longer get created from now on.

Release 4.1.0.4 October 2023

• Corrected a issue sending commands while lights are off
• On older versions of Windows it can happen that TLS 1.1/1.2 is not enabled. In this case the new REST API version of Philips Hue bridges throws errors
• Certain blinds/curtains could throw an error on updates, causing the HS device not to show the current status
• Disabled the limit posed on Lightgroups on Philips Hue bridges

Regarding the TLS 1.1/1.2 issue: This should be present in Windows systems from Win7 SP2 and higher. But for versions up to Win10 (earlier updates) it is often not yet enabled. The plugin will report this when it ecounters issues using the TLS connection and log this in the HS logs with a pointer to the below link that explains how to enable TLS 1.1 and TLS 1.2. Follow the guide there to enable using the HTTPS connection to the Philips Hue bridge and using the new API version on this bridge.

Not having TLS 1.1 or TLS 1.2 enabled is not an issue for deCONZ connections (ConBee/RaspBee)

Release 4.1.1.0 November 2023

• Added support for the Philips Hue doorsensors on Philips Hue bridges
• Added support for the motion detection in Philips Hue camera's on Philips Hue bridges
• Revision of the Philips Hue APIV2 status to the current status

A preview of new developments:

• In the next version all light control of the Philips Hue bridge will be moved to the new API, which enables further development of the gradient light controls and other new features enabled on the Philips Hue bridges.
• The Hue and Sat features of new lights will no longer be created, control will move to RGB and xy values only. For starters with the Philips Hue bridge based lights and probably, if tests work out also for the deCONZ based lights.

In the current version, you will notice that the "Extra" device will see new buttons appearing for Philips Hue lights (if the version on the light allows this only) where you can trigger effect on this light like below (in this image festavia lights) or use these in events


In a near future the extra device will probably be updated to reflect the current effect for lights based on the Philips Hue bridge.

Because of the new security features on the Philips Hue environment Signify has send out news that they will require a user login into their environment. This is to enhance the security of the Philips Hue app when using it. All control of lights and sensors will still be local only.
