Alert function to light groups not working.

Looks like alerting to light groups isn't working anymore? I can signal alert to a single light but if I do All Lights or a Room it doesn't respond? Running Hue Hub on this but seems to be the case with ConBee as well.

    Troy,

Just tested it here, but it seems to work fine. But, to be honest, I am here running on a new version, so I might have solved it without knowing. Can you retest this with the new version, once published by HST?

    Thanks,

    Wim

Same thing. Works for a single light but not for groups.

The Control values between the Group/Room do not obey the same values as individual devices I am seeing the same behaviour when there is multiple devices in the Room or Group.

In addition, the status graphic are also effected as the Device "ON" Value = 255 whereby the Room/Group "On" Value = 254.
In HS4 Grid View, the status graphic above dimming Max Dim range 100 is 255 and therefore, Room/Group On, or the Extra, Alert and Bling etc are out of Range and this could be potentially rectified by modifying the On to a Range 101 - 260 to include all Features values.

Will have to check on this, testing groups here does not show issues so far.

I've been slowly migrating away from Hue so I just put all my hue lights in an event and run the send alert event to the individual lights.

                Troy,

I have testing a lot here, but cannot copy the issue. So far all functions on the group devices work fine here, also when recreated by the HS4 version. I am trying to release a new version today or tomorrow which has been running for two weeks for me. Maybe there is a difference when you install this one? If not, we will have to do some tracing to discover where the differences come from.

The group devices do not show all values of individual devices as this is hard to determine. It will show values for the first color device in the group, or if this is not present, the first CT device. Brightness is only shown when ALL devices in a group are on. And then according to the above conditions.

In addition, the status graphic are also effected as the Device "ON" Value = 255 whereby the Room/Group "On" Value = 254.

This is very weird as both lights and groups are created with the same routines, using the same values. Could it be you changed those values?

Here is the values set for a groups on/off device, which I just now recreated using the plugin. On value is 255. I do not really get what you mean with the extra values to be out of range? These are control only values that are assigned to the buttons and have no value for status, nor have an connection to the on/off device?

                  Hi Wim,

It is only the Extra Status Controls, which uses 256 to 260

Trying to understand here, but do not see what the issue is here then? They hold these values for compatibility with the HS3 version of devices. They function correctly do they?

Wim, sorry I haven't explained this very well and it is a very minor issue that I have really looked at again. The JowiHue works extremely well and it is only invoked when Extras functions are called and this is rarely for me. My original thoughts were incorrect as I thought the Extra parsed their value but I am seeing a "Null" value.

There are two issues and they are:
The Group Extra are non-functional, and
When the Individual Device Extra is used i.e Dim Up, in HS4 the Status value for the On/Off/Dim are set to Null when the !00% is reached and called again.

A very quick demo to make it easier to see.

FYI, it starts here just fine, but I'm in the U.S., running latest Chrome browser.

I wonder if there's any type of country restriction in place?

                            Hello.

I am unsure what happened and that is the second time this has occurred recently when I have used Youtube Live and set it to Public. There was also a few copies of the same video and I can only assume that it was an upload issue and doubt geo-blocking of Australian YouTube account would be the cause.

I have uploaded and hopefully this works.

                              Tim,

Could check the video just now and get the issues. The one on the extra device with groups is going to resolve with the new version of the plugin, which I hope HST will publish today. The second one, dim up/down is something I will look into for the next version!

                              Thanks for showing me!
