Support for Aqara Opple Scene Switch?

Thinking about purchasing some of these switches since each button supports multiple events per button (single and double click, hold). A six-button version gets you a lot of functionality in a small size, with buttons that one can easily label.

I don't see why it wouldn't come up a zigbee device using JowiHue along with DeConz either windows or linux. I don't know if it will work with the HS version of the zigbee pi.

I have a ton of Aqara devices and they've all been easily discovered by w.vuyk and his PI

That said, I have three of these that are almost flawless. The only fault I have found with these is that they don't do well with more than 50 devices on a controller. I have two z-nets in the house so that's never been a problem. These support press, long press, double press and even when released IIRC. A lot more $$ than anything zigbee.

Yep, the 6-button Aqara is about $15. Zigbee devices are usually cheaper than Z-wave due to previously restrictive Z-wave licensing costs (which has since been rectified, but yet to materialize in the marketplace).

And some googling reveals that there were previous issues with the Aqara multi-button devices and how they bind to the controller or endpoints. While they may pass inclusion, that doesn't mean all their features can be utilized by deconz or JowiHue.

Thanks for the Remotec link, it's good to know there's a fallback device (though more expensive).

The plugin should support the switch as well, but I might have to update the database with the values the switch is sending. Once you have one active I would nee to know the JSON and the values send when you press a button (make sure if long press or short press makes a difference per button).

Thanks Wim, will let you know if I get one. I might opt for a TRÅDFRI Remote first since I can pick one up right away from the local IKEA.

Place the attached XML file in the \Config directory. The plugin will see the file within 10 minutes or so and import it (you will see the lines in the log). Check the device that has been created. The buttons should be defined in the Status/Graphics tab of the device. And you should be set to create events (wow!! 25 states! ) I hope the descriptions I made are ok for yo.

I've already updated the XML file but I still can't answer if everything is working correctly, it is being a challenge to include this switch in deConz.
I think I finally managed to include one and tonight I will be able to do the tests so I can inform you.


Since I recently purchased some Silvercrest / Lidl equipment I decided to do the last update of deConz (2.07.00). It was a mistake. Now I have problems with the communication between your plugin and deConz, all my routers (lights, sockets, repeaters ...) are always in an unreachable state. Despite this constant state, the equipment responds well to commands and the rest of the features work correctly (power usage etc).


This only happens with the lights. Sensors and switches work well ... which is even stranger, but I think it will have to do with the problem you spoke about in relation to Ikea equipment, but now they are all (Xiaomi, Silvercrest ...).


Even after returning to an earlier version of deConz (2.05.86) the problem remains. I already know that this weekend I will have to waste time to see if I can solve it. Although the commands continue to work well this situation affects my events and other settings. It's getting complicated to have a reliable system with deConz ...


I can only imagine the problems that this brings to you, so I really appreciate your excellent work. Thanks agaim Wim.

I checked just now here with 2.07.00 for my installation and all seems to run fine. The challenge is that the state of being unreachable has been changed here. Now the plugin is checking on reports coming from the gateway and if the light has not been seen for some time, the plugin sets the unreachable state. Maybe your brand of lights are having a longer period of not reporting? I saw another user having similar issues with GE Smart bulbs.

I did set this timeout to 15 minutes, which seems to work fine for my IKEA and Philips lights.
I will post an beta version later today where I will raise that timeout to 60 minutes. That should save the weekend for you I hope
Go back to the 2.07.00 version, as this version is having lots of updates, including all the LIDL equipment (including their christmas tree lights.... but the plugin might not be able to address all the functions, like twinkle and such)

My plan is to go back to the latest version (2.07.00) but only after successfully including my last Aqara Opple switch. So far I've only managed to successfully include this version (2.05.86). The reverse is that now Lidl equipment does not work

Wim, thanks for the update. As soon as it is available I will test it and wait for it to solve my problem. However, I think that this will not be my problem because I have several devices that constantly report other features such as energy consumption, only the "switch" feature remains in this state.

Wow, that was quick. Installed and seems to have solved the problem of unreachable equipment. It still appears one or the other but when I get home I will try some tips (turn off the power for 10 seconds; reset and reinclusion if it doesn't solve) to see if everything is ok. But apparently and with only 10 minutes in the beta version my problem seems to have disappeared.

I installed the latest version 4.0.3.6 and the problems returned. For me, version 4.0.3.5 was better. After restarting puglin in version 4.0.3.6 the following errors appeared

Can you give me any advice on how to fix this? I only have Ikea, Xiaomi, Philips and Silvercrest equipment, if it helps.

I had to disable the plugin for now. I am receiving a lot of errors, every minute, equal to those indicated in my previous post. Which means half of my automation is off. I cannot understand why this is happening, i.e. why the equipment does not report for more than an hour. My network in deConz gui is good and I have more than 40 routers.


DeConz is running on raspberry pi 4 with conbee 1, latest firmware and version 2.05.86 (when I get home I will try the latest version 2.07.00)
