    Question about Hue Tap Switch

    Hi Wim,

Hope you are having a great one!

Quick question if I may: I bought the Hue Tap Switch, the very cool and weird round thing with the 4 buttons. The idea was to be able to use it to activate House Modes you know, Home, Away, Away with my two little dogs and so on... trouble is, while your great plugin recognizes de switch, when I press any button, the status will remain unchanged until I press a different one. Is it possible to add a trigger when the button is pressed instead of when it changes status? or perhaps an action that allows me to delete the "Button x initial press" status?

I mean, if I press the button 1 it will remain in "Button 1 initial press" and if I press button 1 again, it won´t trigger any event unless I first press another button and then the button 1.

Also, any workaround ideas are welcome!

Thank you so much in advance!

    That is an easy one!

In the events you use to recognize the switch being pressed for a certain button, you only need to change the trigger part into "If switch had been SET to..." instead of "If switch changed and becomes..." This will trigger the event even if only the same button was pressed. But you also need to disable the dreadfull "Last Change Time Updates on Status Change Only" if it is enabled for the device. If that option is enable the trigger on "Set" won't work.

The level of awesomeness knows no boundaries!!!

Not only is working now but I also learnt that particular trigger option you mentioned on your reply. Somehow I didn't see that option before even though, it has been there all the time.

In case anyone wonders, it works with the Tap and the smart button as well.

      Did I say awesome?

      Thanks Wim!
