I will try to add the remote here as well, that should put me on track for this one.
    Hi Wim,

Received 3 of the new 6 ordered blinds. One is already installed and connected to HS4. Next 2 should be done this weekend.

Can't wait to receive the other 3 sometime next week but these will need to be shortened before they get installed. That's gonna be tricky...

No pressure but I hope you're making progress getting the remote controllers added in your plugin. Can't wait to have them in and use them.

One thing I noted, for both blinds I added in HS4. device icons are missing:

Another question, the repeater supplied with the blind, before it can be used once the blind is paired to deCONZ, I'd kinda think it should also be paired with deCONZ. What's your take?

For those wondering how to add these blinds, here is what I did:
    • Disable JowiHue plugin
    • Reset the blinds and get them in pairing mode: Keep pressing both buttons on the blinds for 5 seconds or more
    • The light slowly flashes 3 times and then off
    • Release the buttons, the light will slowly flash
    • Open phoscon and use "Add new lights", let the process finish
    • Once added, rename blind in Phoscon to what you'd like in HS
    • go to deCONZ, scan and re-read all clusters
    • Enable JowiHue plugin
    • Go to newly added devices in HS and configure as desired

The repeated needs to be added to deCONZ too. You will see it added with the name "Range extender nn". You can find the device in the lights tab on the bridge maintenance page. There will be no device created for it as it holds no controls or status values. Trying to avoid creating useless devices here.

I checked with my remote here and the device added in deCONZ immediately. I am using deCONZ 2.11.5 here, not sure if that makes a difference.

What I did do to add the remote is following these steps:
      1. pressed the tiny button on the bottom of the remote 4 times within 5 seconds (open the bottom first)
      2. started the scan for devices on the Bridge Maintenance page of the plugin
      3. In deCONZ the device appeared and the name almost immediate changed to TRADFRI Open/Close remote
      4. Devices were created in HS

        Hi Wim,

I'm beginning to have a love/hate relationship with deCONZ" . Adding devices to it since the very beginning I started using the Raspbee II has been a hit or miss affair at best and it continues, even after updating deCONZ to 2.11.5.

The 1st blind went in like a charm. Then I got the next 3. The 1st one of those 3 also went in like a charm. But the other 2 (3rd and 4th blinds), man, that was painful. And I still have 4 more to install . The 3rd seemed to go in fine, initially. I could operate it in HS and I hadn't shut your plugin down that time. Then I added the 4th one. That one never got in HS, it was not visible in Phoscon either, only in deCONZ where I was able to control it. Then I noticed the 3rd one, which had made it in HS, wasn't controllable from HS anymore but was still controllable in deCONZ. At some point, while trying things to get the 3rd and 4th working in HS, I noticed the battery of the 4th made it in HS but not the blind itself. Go figure.

I got tired at some point, updated deCONZ, deleted the 3rd and 4th blinds from both HS and deCONZ (which removed the 3rd from Phoscon as well) and tried re-adding the3rd and 4th. I was still having issues. I then removed all batteries from all blinds but the 3rd one, re-deleted the 3rd and 4th and managed to get the 3rd in and working everywhere. And finally, after removing the battery from the 3rd and putting the one in the 4th, I also managed to add this one everywhere.

What a saga! At least, it seems deCONZ is really deleting a device properly now, which most likely helped.

So I added these to my events, tested everything, all fine, no issues. I was finally happy to be done with this, or so I thought. It has taken like 3 or 4 more time getting these blinds working in HS than it took hooking them up on the wall. Believe it or not, I personally think it doesn't make sense. And some time later, the 4th blind not longer responds from HS. I guess we're probably not allowed to use such wording, but I'm seriously pissed off.

Now, after all that, I have these 3 of 4 blinds working in HS, and there are some issues with the controls.

Blind 1, front door: the STOP control doesn't work. When fully closed it reports 85% closed.
Blind 2, salon nord: the progress/percentage bar works for setting the blind at some % but doesn't reflect the open/closed status and the STOP control doesn't work. The status also is not updated from open/closed when setting a percentage or a full open/close. It always report open.
Blind 3, balcon 1: When fully open, it reports 3% closed. The STOP control doesn't work.
Blind 4, balcon 2: Everything stopped working in HS but deCONZ has no issues controlling it. It's present in Phoscon and the REST-API as well. Restarting the plugin doesn't have any effect. It is present in the bridge maintenance page. Here is the JSON for it:

        I have 3 events:
50% closed: Blind 1 and 3 reflect proper status and progress bar. Blind 2 stay stuck at open.
Full closed: Blind 1 and 3 reflect proper status and progress bar. Blind 2 stay stuck at open.
Full open: Blind 1 and 3 reflect proper status and progress bar. Blind 2 stay stuck at open.

Obviously, while it partially works, there are still a few things to iron out.

I added one successfully and see it in the bridge maintenance page.

After updating to 2.11.5, I deleted the remote and tried to add it back. deCONZ sees it, Phoscon, REST-API and the plugin don't.

          Hi Wim,

All 8 blinds are finally installed and in HS. Yet there are still a bunch of issues. Here is the run down:

As you can see, a few things are not working.

For reference, here is one of the blind device. Left arrow refers to what I call Open/Close/Slider status. Right one refers to Slider Update.

For the missing graphics, please refer to post above. Blind # shows the order I added them, not that it makes much of a difference.

About the not working Stop Control:
          • In deCONZ, using the Window Covering cluster of the device, I can stop any actions.
          • While testing this, I noticed some blinds go up and down a few centimeters then stop. I didn't experienced this in HS.

So, I'm like 75% happy I have all Ikea blinds responding properly in HS. Yet, I'd like to know why there are discrepancies between the devices.

I also successfully added a repeater and a remote controller to deCONZ. The repeater is recognized by the plugin, but not the remote controller although deCONZ shows both. I mentioned that in the previous post. I also tried to bind the controller to the blind in deCONZ but all I get is a time out error.

            Guy,

I have been away for some time and missed this post after that, sorry for that.

For the devices not updating, could you follow these steps:
            1. On the bridge maintenance page, start a search for devices on the bridge (do not delete any device in deCONZ or HS!)
            2. Take out the battery of the curtain and wait 15 seconds or so. Then put it back
            3. After reinserting the battery the curtain should start moving to maximum open.
            4. While curtain is resetting, do a read on the basic cluster of the curtain (not 100% sure if this is needed, the battery reset could be enough already)
            5. Check if the values start updating
There is a chance that this proces is needed now and then, but it should be rare, for my curtain I did this more then 8 months ago for the last time.
I have no clue yet why the stop command is not working, it works fine here. What is the current version of deCONZ you have installed at this point?

On the images I will come back on that with the next version. I thought I used common HS images that should be present for all.

Well, that kinda work. That did not fix the devices updates in HS, but it restored the control issue I mentioned in this thread https://forums.homeseer.com/forum/hs...motion-sensors

I didn't have to read the deCONZ cluster. After putting the battery back I tried the blind in HS and it worked. So glad. But I sure hope this is not something that will be recurring. I need to use a step ladder to reach the battery and controls and for a couple of them I also need to move furniture.

The stop still isn't working. I updated deCONZ to 2.11.5 as you suggested.
