I am lost, please need some help getting conbee 2 setup

I have installed conbee 2 and deconz on the same windows computer as my HS. Jowihue sees the bridge but it isn't finding any lights. Now, I had philips hue bridge setup before but I want to move everything to the conbee 2. I deleted the hue lights and sensors from the hue app but I am lost now as to how to get them to be recognized on the conbee 2 in Jowihue? I have searched all over to try and find some info on this. I have read the Jowihue documentation about 5 times but I can't seem to find any info on getting hue stuff transferred over to the conbee 2.

It appears that the lights were not taken out of the philips hue bridge. Even though I deleted them in the app, they are still showing up

There also seems to be errors in the log:

Anybody able to help out? I have managed to move one light to the deconz by deleting it from the philips hue bridge using jowihue plugin. Then I rescaned for lights using the deconz bridge. It found the light but there are errors in the log and it didn't name it the same name as it was in the hue bridge. The errors are

Can you see the lights in the ConBee II? If you have not lights there, then the plugin has nothing to find. I found with mine that there is a bunch of setup in the ConBee II you have to do from their help file. Then I had to play with different ports to get ConBee II to find and include the lights. Once they are in ConBee II, then the plugin will find them automatically.

No nothing was on the ConBee II. Jowihue pick it up as a bridge. I think the big problem is that my lights and sensors are on my hue bridge. I want to move them to the ConBee II bridge. I found this on another post by w.vuyk

It is much easier, without the need of Phoscon.... All you need to do is start the bulb by removing the bulb from power and adding power on. Then reset the bulb and scan for new devices on the configuration page of the plugin(of course on the Hue bridge row).
The Hue bridge will find the light and report this to the plugin. The plugin will recognise the bulb and remove the bulb from deCONZ and renames the bulb on the Hue bridge to the old name and it uses the same devices. Once updated, you can return it to deCONZ and the plugin wil do the same trick again, but now deletes it from the hue bridge. Then the router functionality is again on the deCONZ gateway.
The only thing that I am not sure of is that he says remove the bulb from power and then add power again then "reset" the bulb. I don't know what he means by that.
I moved one bulb this morning by deleting it from the hue bridge in jowihue and then I turned the light on and off and then scanned for new devices in the conbee bridge. It found it but it didn't retain the name from the hue bridge.

The names are not retained once the light is removed from the Philips bridge. But when you add it to the Conbee/deCONZ gateway, you can rename the device that is created, and deCONZ will use this name. It would be best to rename the device, not the feature, these will automatically follow after the device is renamed.
I wonder why the light control for color control is not working? Could you post an image of the device created for the light?

Thanks! I have finally figured out exactly how to do this. I will put my steps down in case anybody else has questions about this procedure. The whole procedure is done in the Jowihue plugin. This is where I was getting it wrong, as I tried to delete the lights in the hue app first. Also, keep your eye on the logs as this will help you determine what is happeing.

            1. First delete the light using jowihue plugin under the bridge that the light or sensor is in.
            2. Then press 'scan for new devices' for the bridge that you want the device in.
3..In the log, you will see that the light is found and what the name will be.
            4. Go to Devices and find the new device. Click on the Root of the device and then click on the Jowihue setting.
            5. Click 'Manage' then click on the name of the device again. This will take you to all the settings for the device based on Jowihue.
            6. Change the name in here and anything else that you want to change ie: Room, Category, Voice Command, etc. then click 'Save'. In the log you should see that it changes the device name and all the child devices as well.
            7. Go back to devices and you should see your new device with the correct name.

The changing of the name really had me puzzled, as I was trying to change the name and all the child device names in the device manager. Once I figured this all out, things went really well. I was even able to move all my lights from the hue bridge to the conbee II while not even being at home (did it remotely).

w.vuyk is it the same for motion sensors? Or do I have to use a paper clip in the little hole to get it to pair? The light, I think you are referring to is a just white hue bulb. There isn't an image in the device. Here is a picture of the jowihue settings page.

              pcgirl,

Yes for the motion sensors you need to reset by holding a small pin in the little hole and hold it for about 10 seconds (you will see a red light on the motion sensor)
I will be back later for the light, but need to update the HS4 plugin first here... You have the HS3 version still right?

That is the HS3 version of the plugin indeed, but it runs fine on HS4! There is a separate HS4 plugin too

CanI just install that version or do I have to uninstall the HS3 version then install HS4 version?

You can install it over the existing one (maybe first disable it). But I do not know if you want it, you will need to buy an upgrade in the store. The HS 3 version will still work fine without the upgrade, but without new developments.
