Hue colour bulb control via Alexa

I just added a Hue colour bulb to my hs3 system. Alexa sees it but the root device only. I can't control the actual light with Alexa. The root device doesn't even have voice control enabled.
    Anyone else have this happen?

I am not using voice commands here, so cannot help out of experience. But in this thread there was another discussion on the use of Alexa. At the end Rich had tested the plugin to check if it worked correctly - and it did. But somehow things seems to be unclear, so I hope someone with a working configuration can chime in?

Thanks Wim. The issue is that only the root device shows in Alexa. I have just a white bulb and the switched device shows as expected. As a work around, I created a virtual device and a couple of events to control it. I have no color control via Alexa but I don't care. Not sure if I should or not...
