Over 8,000 duplicated Hue devices - pushing me over 9999 limit

In the attached photo are a set of recurring Hue devices that has filled my devices with over 8000 duplicates.
It seems 4 particular Hue devices are recreated every 10 mins until my device list is full.

    1) Any advice on what is causing this?

    2) I need to delete these as it has my devices MAX'd out and I can't add any new devices. Any advice on how to delete THAT many devices?

I still don't know why they were duplicated ... but the duplicate devices were all duplicate features to a four duplicated root devices (with the sub devices duplicated 1000s of times) - in deleting the root devices it cleaned up the duplicates. They don't seem to be re-creating anymore, at least at the moment.

I don't know how this could have happened. What is the current version of the plugin and HS you are using?
What (type of) device was doubling devices all downlights, or were there also sensors or other lights, was it one or more brands?

What happens if you restart the plugin?

version 2.0.4.5 - just updated today. This problem was I think from July but I wasn't watching until I tried to solve another issue. Not sure what version I was running then but it was probably no more than 3 months old at the time.

It seems to be resolved at the moment - the duplications are not occuring now. I will watch to see if it starts again. The duplicated items were the actual on/off bulb device, and the CT device under a root device that got duplicated (4 different ones). The root device showed as "unkonwn" status even though we were successfully using the light.

I will repost if any issues return.

Ok, thanks for letting me know. If it happens again, post back and we have to try to trace this issue in the HS3 plugin.

OK - it started doing it again about 6 hours ago - and is adding 2 devices every 10 minutes as you can see in the Jon00DeviceList output attached.

            No log messages from JowiHue
This bulb has been in service for several months successfully - and is NOT one of the repeating ones from before (above).

I am happy to help troubleshoot this so I am not deleting the devices just now - but it is almost 11pm and I will be hitting the sack soon ... and work tomorrow. I will keep one eye on this and if you are around now let me know what log settings to implement or what else to share.

Can you create a detailed log for me, so I can see more information? Follow these steps to create one
                • In the HS3 JowiHue plugin Configuration page enable detailed logging and log to file options
                • Stop en restart the plugin in the plugins menu
                • Let the plugin start and let it run until initialized en the errors are shown in yor log
                • Then disable the detailed log and log to file options
                • You will find the log in the \Logs subdirectory of your HS installation directory as JowiHue.log
                • Send this file to jowihue at ziggo dot nl and I will have a look at it
                Thanks,
