Scenes created from 3rd party Apps are missing + All Lights option

Hi!

Been having multple issues with the JowiHue plugin lately as has been discussed in this forum.
Most of the issues seems to have been solved regarding to the Hue Hub integration, but I am still struggling with some issues.

1. Scenes created by iConnectHue is not showing in the available scenes when creating Events. Over the last few versions they have been on and off, but today I notices that any scenes I create using the official Hue app is available in the Events created in Homeseer (through Jowihue actions), but any I create with the iConnectHue app is not shown.
Anyone else having this issue?

2. The device action for turning off All (Hue) Lights is also missing. Is this by design, or is something wrong?

I dont know how iConnectHue is creating/naming their scenes. It is possible they are different from standard. Especially when the Philips Hue app scenes are visible I suppose the iConnectHue scenes are different somehow. The plugin select scenes conforming the API, so if it does appear every now and then, is that maybe depending on the latest updates of the app iConectHue?

On your second question, the all lights group is no longer supported by both deCONZ and the Philips hue app (as plugs were also showing in this group), so the plugin indeed does no longer respond to the devices. When the plugin starts there should be a line in the log mentioning this. You can remove the devices belonging to the all lights group.

This configuration has been working for 2 years, but the API change in Hue Hub could have affected something.

In my installation I am also still struggling with some issues seen in previous version. If I am the only one seeing this issues, I can try to factory reset the Hue Hub and rebuild it using only the Hue App.

Notes from some quick tests:

I installed the 4.0.7.6 version and did some testing:
Removed the hub and all devices using JowiHue plugin "remove bridge" functionality
Reconnected the HUB

Noticing:

• Some features of motion and switches are doubled "switch switch" or "motion motion" (but cleaned/renamed them in Homeseer)
• 1 bulb has double features; 2 x CT and 2 x Extra
• Error message in log:
  Error: (CreateFeatureLight):Error occurred during creation Of feature during Step Handling group creating new feature PED creating group details update PED groups Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
• All scenes are available (scenes created by iConnectHue and the Hue App), but tested 1 from iConnect Hue and 1 from the Hue App and they are not working

Deleted the Homeseer device (bulb) with multiple features, and restarted the plugin

• This resulted in 2 copies of the deleted bulb device appears.
• The log shows:

After the restart, only the Hue App scenes are showing and now works!

Removed bridge/devices and reconnected it:

• Another feature name addition "switch switch" and "Tempereature Temperature" and so on
• The bulbs are now OK (did not see any double features or double devices)

Another error: if I create an Event and select JowiHue actions and then "set lights" I get a popup error message: "Unable to save changes : Object reference not set to an instance of an object."

Update 2: (after more restarts and detailed testing)
Did some more testing:

1. Installed the JowiHue plugin (4.0.7.6)
2. Factory reset the Hue Hub, and then reconfigured my light bulbs, 3 Hue Switches, 1 motion sensor and added some rooms, zones and scenes using only the official HUE App
3. I then added the Hue bridge to HomeSeer using the JowiHue plugIn and after more testing:
   • Many errors to begin with including: Error: (CreateFeatureLight):Error occurred during creation Of feature during Step Handling group creating new feature PED creating group details update PED groups Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
   • Motion sensor got the "Motion Motion" name
   • Switch dimmer got the "Switch switch" name
   • Missing some CT up/down values, but this appeared later when doing a restart
4. I did some PlugIn restarts and deleted devices to let JowiHue recreate them. This corrrected some errors, but still:
   • A motion sensor got 3 battery devices; deleted the device again and restarted the plugin fixed the issue, but seems a bit unstable
   • When deleting sensors/dimmers, extra "Switch" / "Motion" / "Temperature ++ is still added to the end of the names. Seems to happen again only if I delete the devices and let JowiHue recreate them
   • After making changes in the Hue app (to rooms, zones and bulb names) there is still appearing copies of devices and features.

Any suggestions are welcome!

I discovered just now I did not answer your post although I had it in my list and have been working with your finding with the new releases of the plugin. I am sorry! Missed out here on answering you.
But I think mist of the issues you mentioned have been solved. There should not new doubles be created anymore.

When you use 4.0.8.2, what is your current status of the findings?

I can confirm that I no longer have issues with double device being created using the newest version of the plugin (4.0.8.2)
