JowiHue restarting every hour after recent plugin update

[HS14]

I haven't touched HS4 in months because everything has been working flawlessly. Recently popped into HS4 Plugins page and did an update on JowiHue plugin to version 4.0.8.1 and now I am getting random errors and the plugin restarts every hour or so.

Random errors that popup but then are resolved after a restart of the plugin:

Error: (PluginFunction): calling SetLightsKelvin: Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation.

Error: (SetLightsOff):Index was outside the bounds of the array.

Any guidance to resolve this issue? I'm afraid to update to 4.0.8.2 from 4.0.8.1 with other people posting issues with the 4.0.8.2 update. Appreciate any help.

Just upgraded to 4.0.8.2 hoping ti would resolve these issues and still getting the same errors.

It's been a while since I updated HS4, updating to the current release of 4.2.16.0 seems to have resolved my issues. Will post back if otherwise.

For future reference, you may want to just restart HS4 first rather than updating the release. Updating also does a restart (obviously) but a restart alone may be enough to resolve your issue vs. updating and restarting. Also, I do a shutdown and a full backup of the "HomeSeer HS4" directory prior to updating. Kind of a safety net in case something goes sideways.

Valid tips, thank you. I do a daily backup of HS4 via it's own backup system and I also use BLBackup to a NAS but I should start doing proper restarts moving forward. Thank you again.

UPDATE: It's been almost 24 hours and no errors from JowiHue plugin so I am happy this issue was resolved with a simple update.

Back again from being away. Glad you got this resolved. It is possible parts of the changes in the HS4 version have influenced the plugin. The PluginSDK changes sometimes with the new HS version. Sometimes I have to update the plugin to follow the SDK changes. Maybe I have changed something that caused the issues you saw and missed noticing it was holding breaking changes. I hope to prevent this for the future.
