    Groups are broken again in 4.0.8.6

    Hi w.vuyk...

    The problem with Philips bridge groups not updating is back in JowiHue 4.0.8.6. Seems like every other version now has issues with groups 😒

    New twist this time, ALL JowiHue group devices (On/Off/Dim feature) show status of OFF, regardless of their actual On/Off/Dim status. Control still works normally. Sometimes the On/Off/Dim device will briefly update to the correct status, but then immediately goes back to OFF.

    Let me know if you need anything from me to troubleshoot.

      Wim, I too have noticed the same symptom as teladog01 as I was testing my new Hue events, hopefully this is an easy fix? thanxs in advance.

        w.vuyk Same problem here, groep status is not updating in H4!! Installed the latest version again with the right files to solve the scene isue)
        when comes the fix?

          Wim, Can you confirm that this is an issue, and if so is there a solution that we can employ to temporarily fix it? Thanxs in advance, I know so many requests and so little time!

            I believe I did confirm in several posts that this is an issue of the plugin on Philips Hue bridges. deCONZ is working perfectly fine.
            No temporary fix as of now, It is the plugin being confused by the new API of Philips.

            The good news is that I think I almost finished the work on this, but need more testing to confirm.

              Wim, thanxs for comeback, I must be one of the Philips Hue bridge problem children! will wait with "bated breath" for the update.

                    Just posting to confirm 4.0.8.7 seems to have fixed the group update issues I was seeing in 4.0.8.6. Fingers crossed this is the last bugaboo with groups 🙂🤞

                        After installing 4.0.8.7 I decided to do a bit of bridge maintenance. I deleted a couple of light groups I no longer needed which seemed to work fine. I noticed a while later on the group info page and confirmed in the log that the plugin had recreated one of the light group devices and all its features. It did not recreate the other three that I had deleted around the same time, only the first one. I deleted it again and the plugin didn't recreate it the second time.

                          This can happen based on when the bridge actually removes the group... the plugin might query the bridge at the moment you remove the group on the bridge. In those (should be very rare) cases the deletion might cross the check from the plugin..

                            Thanks Wim. That makes sense. Just bad timing in this case. My Philips Hue and Conbee II ecosystems are going as a purge Tuya devices.

                              For some Tuya devices (sensors) there is (local!) support in deCONZ, so you might want to check on that?
