Upgrade from HS3 broke some non-plugin devices

I upgraded from HS3 to HS4 + HS4 plugin, and now I'm struggeling with some of my non-plugin devices. In the associations list they are shown as "Dev: Unknown", this only happens to a few devices, but happens to both that has a publish association and devices that have never been associatied with mcsMQTT. All the devices exist, and the publish seems to work fine, including device location/name substitution in the topic template.

Any idea what is causing this?

HS4 does not allow blank floor and room (loc2, loc) properties. HS3 allowed it.

A screen shot of what you are seeing may help.

If you provide \Data\mcsMQTT\mcsMQTT.db then I can see what you have setup. It can be zipped an posted or emailed to mcsSolutions at CenturyTel dot net.

All the devices I have a problem with has both loc and loc2 set. A quick screenshot (or rather three merged screenshots) of my problem. From top to bottom: mcsMQTT association list (showing device 845), the same device in the devices list, and the published data in MQTT Explorer.

I will send you the database also later today.

It appears that HS does not recognize 845 as a Feature. I changed the logic to find either a Device or a Feature and this seems to have taken care of the problem in my test case. Update at http://mcsSprinklers.com/HSPI_mcsMQTT_5_12_0_2.zip for HS4.

I also noticed that you have a + in a device name and when associated it defaults to a pub topic with + and that is not valid MQTT topic so I protected against it and the #. This also changed the HS3/HS4 plugin which is at http://mcsSprinklers.com/mcsMQTT_5_12_0_2.zip.

The updates are installed using the Updater Override process. If you do not know the process already it is described at the bottom of the first post at https://forums.homeseer.com/forum/hs...es-to-influxdb
