Beacon devices are missing option for device selection in an event

I got one BLE beacon up and running well. I created events that were working as they were supposed. So, I bought another beacon and installed it. The beacons are found on the device page where I have assigned them. But now I cannot create an event with the first or the second beacon, because neither is available as an option in the device menu for an event. Any help to fix this issue would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

EDIT: Not sure this is related, but when the second beacon device was created, the "Grouping Parent Ref" was the same as the first beacon's and there was no new "Grouping Parent" device created for the second beacon device.

The HS4 event menu asks for a device and then asks for a feature as the trigger. Can you show screenshot of the Hs device page where the two beacon features are shown?

Typically for event triggers you will setup mcsMQTT to set the device feature based upon presence vs. out of range for device value. This means there will be only two values that a feature will contain. The event trigger will be when device value is custom and then one of the two values depending upon present vs, away. mcsMQTT.pdf will have the values for the two states.

I am not aware of the criteria HS4 uses to make devices and then features available for an event. I have never observed an existing device not in the drop down selector. Make certain you know the room and floor where the beacon device and features are places so you will be able to find them in the selector.

Okay, Michael, I think it was operator error on my part. But, does it matter that the "Group Parent Ref" for the second beacon referred to the that for the first?

I believe all beacons will share a common device parent.
