    New devices show up

    Hi
I´m trying to make a plug-in device from a string that some mqtt-client publish on the broker where the mcsMQTT is connected. When connected new devices under the parent deivce suddenly start to show up then I publish new strings from this mqtt-client...and the number of devices grow for each publish. Is this normal?

The original plug-in device are 1781(1782,1783)....then 1784,1785 is added. The strange thing is that device 1782/1783 are now altered from plug-in devices to non plug-in devices.

Is your client publishing a different topic or the same topic with a different payload?

Are your setting to automatically create HS device on each new topic or is the default where devices are created from the Association tab with the “A” checkbox?

Are you publishing on the same topic as you are subscribing. This has additional setup consideration.

it is easiest to provide good answers if I have visibility into what you have setup in mcsMQTT. The setup is in /config/mcsMQTT.ini and /data/mcsMQTT/mcsMQTT.db. The debug file contains a record of received and published topics. It is enabled from General tab and the file is in /data/mcsMQTT/mcsMQTT Debug.txt.
