Yolink stopped communicating around 09:00am Central Time 06/12/2022

Michael, It looks like the Yolink piece of mcsMQTT has stopped communicating. I can see in the YoLink app on my phone that is showing the correct status of devices. But nothing is updated via your plugin.

Was wondering if anyone else is having that issue

I should point out that in the HS3 log I can see that the mcsMQTT plugin says "Connected to YoLink Server"

I took a look at mine. The App indicates offline. The hub lights show internet connectivity and power. The Feature/House light is blinking red which I think means the factory is updating it. It may have been in this state for days or months. I do not recall any authorization on my part to allow a firmware update.

Michael, looks like the interface started working around 01:38am this morning. I am seeing an error message in the log not sure how much it matters. Below is the message with the targetDevice ID removed

      YoLink Server error response {"code":"010203","time":1655102303230,"msgid":1655102303,"me thod":"DoorSensor.getLastReport","data":{},"targetDevice":"# ###############","desc":"Body Error!method not support now"}

I looked in the API and that getLastReport is still the method documented to retrieve the last state of the Door, Gas and Fence products. You should be sensitive to the operation of the Door Sensor or either of the other two items to know if they are still functioning as desired.

My hub looks to be dead. Power cycle and factory reset do not change its behavior and it is not visible from the App. I will need to contact customer support.

I will check that the devices are working as I would expect. I do know that some of the
devices I'm seeing that error on had a firmware update either yesterday or the day before.

Michael just an update, I had more issues with YoLonk not communicating some of my sensors. Went over to the HA - YoLink Integration page and they are complaining of the same issue. That both Door and Motion sensors status is not being reported out of YoLink API. So the issue is not with your plugin (which is what I suspected)

I got my response from YoLink. I have never heard of a company change their cloud service and have their customers buy new hardware to get their equipment working again. They gave a 2 year warranty on the hardware, but no warranty on their cloud server ability to communicate with the hardware!

We have checked your device data. The reason for the issue is your hub version is too old that our app no longer supports it.

We have a newly updated hub(firmware version 0323) that optimized both hardware and software on the hub and it will reboot itself to reconnect to the network if there is a network disconnection or power outage.

Can you go to our website to order a new hub? https://shop.yosmart.com/products/yolink-hub

After your order, please let me know the order id, and I will issue a 60% refund for you.

That is a shame. Their devices appear to be great, but the hub doesnt have local access and relies too heavily on internet connectivity...

I agree, the range and battery life of their devices are great. The customer service and integration or lack there of is going to put them out of business. For as long as I have been following them the number one request from everyone is local access and they just keep ignoring that.

Michael what version is your firmware? Mine is currently 0320 and says no updates are available

They did not tell me in the email. Since the App no longer communicates with the hub, I have no means to query it and it is not on the label of the hub.

I have a little YoLink setup here in my office with 2 motion sensors and a relay. It's not tied into HomeSeer at all, though I wish I could.
The firmware on my hub is at 0323 and is the latest version:

mcsMQTT provides the integration, albeit it is a cloud connection through the hub.

I've considered going the mcsMQTT route.

The 2 motion sensors pictured earlier are for driveway detection. I want to have them both control that relay (also pictured). This contact would then be wired to a zone in my alarm panel so I can announce when vehicles are detected. On the test bench, they work, but I need to mount them where they will live to see if the range is as good as they say.

I have been using mcsMQTT to pull the YoLink products into HS3 since Michael made it available. Up until this weekend it has been Rock Solid. But from what I saw on the HA forum the issue was on the YoLink side.

Looks like my hub is the same model as yours but it's running FIRMWARE 0320. When I press the firmware option it says it is running the latest version.

Philips pretty much did the same thing when they dropped support for the V1 Hue bridge.

"Since 30 April 2020, no software updates are made available for the Hue Bridge v1 mobile application and compatibility with our online services has been terminated at that time. Subsequently, the dedicated Philips Hue Bridge v1 mobile application will go out of support and be retired on 30 April 2022."

That's why I kicked Tuya to the curb.
