    Theengs Gateway

Has anyone tried out the Theengs Gateway?
    https://gateway.theengs.io/

Will this work ok with mcsMQTT?

I have purchased a couple of XIAOMI LYWSD03MMC Bluetooth Thermometers and am looking at how to get the data in to HomeSeer.

I am wondering if I install and run the Theengs Gateway on my HomeSeer Server and if this will allow me to get the data using mcsMQTT?

    Is there a better way?

You can install Tasmota BLE on a ESP32 It will act as a receiver and the LYWSD03MMC is supported (using 3 here along with McsMQTT, works perfectly, range and battery life are great)

ps: OpenMQTTgateway is another receiver alternative.

Thanks for the info. I don't currently have any ESP32 devices but might look at purchasing. I saw the Theengs Gateway and thought that might be another option to an ESP32. Good to know that the LYWSD03MMC works well.

Had a chance to look at Theengs,
        at first glance it seems to be a good option if you want to leverage BLE hardware on supported platforms (Raspberry Pi, Windows, Apple desktop, laptop or server, Android);
No experience with Theengs but it is from the same developer as OpenMQTTgateway which I was using previously on ESP32 before switching to Tasmota, it works equally well and supports Xiaomi devices, including the LYWSD03MMC. At the time, it had less customization options than Tasmota but new releases seem to have more features now.

Keep us posted if you experiment some of these solutions/platforms. They all interface easily via McsMQTT so HS integration should be fairly easy.
        cheers,

Thanks I plan to give the Theengs gateway a try first when I get some time. If it works out I would prefer to use that with my existing hardware rather than buying another device (i.e. ESP32)
I will let you know how Theengs goes. Still waiting for delivery of my LYWSD03MMC, but hopefully not far away.

            Hey All,
In case anyone else is interested with this as a solution I thought I would report back to let you know I tested out the Theengs Gateway and got it working ok with HomeSeer.

I installed it on my HomeSeer HS4 server (Windows 11) and used the mcsMQTT HomeSeer plugin as the MQTT Broker.
This enabled me to use the Bluetooth (BLE) adapter on my PC to connect to Bluetooth devices and read/monitor data in to HomeSeer.
