- Navigate to plugins>modbusSeer>add tcp master
- Go trough the steps: Device details: Add the device details for your modbus to ethernet adapter. Make sure you enter the correct details.
- Then click "create master" and a pop-up will eventually show up to tell you if it succeeded or not. Please wait for pop-up confirmation.
- Navigate to "devices" and find your master device. It should be all set with status and graphics.
- Repeat this process for all your slave devices.
Slave device creation:
ATTENTION: You will need at least one master device before you can create any slave devices
- Navigate to plugins>modbusSeer>add devices
- Go through the steps to add a slave device, first choose the master device that this slave device will belong to from the dropdown.
- Next, choose a device type from the dropdown.
- Next, add your device name so you can locate it later. This can be 'anything'
- Next, input the Modbus register address for this slave device. Make sure it is correct!
- Next, add any additional infomration that the plugin might ask(depending on device type).
- Next, click 'create device' button and wait for a confirmation pop-up telling you that the device is created and the ref number of the device.
- Next, locate your new slave device by navigating to 'devices' and search for the device name
- Next, click on your feature and navigate to 'Status/Graphics'. Add your status and graphics to make your device look nice and add any 'Status/Controls' that it might have. The plugin will pickup the button clicks for control and send the value added to the control to the slave adress.
- Repeat this process for all your slave devices.
