    This is true so long as the zigbee device acts as a repeater. This functionality is mostly limited to mains-powered devices like wall outlets or smart plugs, very rarely do battery operated devices have this feature. Bulbs are also hit or miss as it varies from one manufacturer/model to another, and sometimes even within certain versions of a single model. Basically, do your homework before buying anything.

      As far I have seen the bulbs that are not acting a a router/repeater are Sengleds. Other then that most brands are functioning as routers indeed.

        GLEDOPTO bulbs do not act as repeaters. At least not the ones I own.
