DESCRIPTION
The Pushover Messenger event actions are used to send Pushover essages. There are two types of messages, whey will be explained below.
STANDARD PUSHOVER MESSAGE
A standard Pushover message will be send to a regular device using an App or Web client. There are apps available for iOS and Android, and most browsers supports Web clients as well. See the Pushover website for more information. To send a message to such device, create an event action, select “Pushover Messenger” as the Action, and select “Pushover message” as the Message type.
Next, select the instance(s) you’ll be sending the message to. For every selected instance, you can select the appropriate Application(s) and Device(s) as well. Use “All devices” to send the message to all current (and possible new) configured devices.
Then, select the formatting (Standard, HTML or Monospace), and enter the message text. A title is optional. Also, select one of the sound options.
Set the appropriate Priority. You can also control which messages are being send by using the devices created by the plugin (see below).
When selecting an Emergency message, additional fields will be shown. Interval en Expiration speaks for themselves.
"Emergency message name" is optional and can be used to trigger other events when (the last instance of) this message is acknowledged or expired. See the “Event triggers” section for more information about this. Also, read the warning about additional polling when defining an “Emergency message name”.
The “Emergency cancellation tag(s)” is optional and can be used to cancel an ongoing emergency before it expires. See below how to cancel an emergency message. Multiple tags can be provided.
Optionally you can also provide a URL with an optional Title. Also an image can be send as attachment to the message. There is a limit of 2.5MB, so resizing options are provided.
