BLSecurity for HS4 flooding log with error

    Hi @Blade,

I installed the HS4 version of BLSecurity but the log is flooded with an error when I enable the plugin. The error reads “Error while getting feature 979 : Object reference not set to an instance of an object.”

the error is coming from homeseer but when I disable the plugin it stops flooding the log. Click image for larger version

Are you running the newest version of the plugin?

I was on 4.0.9. I just upgraded to 4.0.10 but as soon as I started the plug-in after upgrading it started to flood the log with the same error as before.

Which of your devices has the device reference of 979?
          Cheers,

I did not have a device 979 in my system so it got me thinking that it was a zwave door sensor that I had moved to a different zwave hub. Sure enough that was it. When I went to go to the setup page of BLSecurity though the “more” menu was gone as well as the link in the plugin drop down. I was able to type the url directly into the address bar and get to the setup page and delete the 979 sensor and stop the error flooding the log. But I cannot get the “more” menu or the drop down link to show up even though the plugin is running. I restarted the plugin several times as well as restarting Homeseer a couple times to no avail. Any thoughts?

That is odd - any errors on startup from the plugin?
              Cheers,

I installed 4.0.11 but am still having the same issue. I restarted both the plugin and Homeseer and that did not help. The error on startup states the following:

“BLSecurity~!~Error~!~This exception was caught during initialization: Cannot create a file when that file already exists.”
