    Ecobee - Alternative?

WIth the recent announcement of Ecobee being sold. I'm understanding people feel Ecobee will not survivie.

Is there a good z-wave alternative that had humidity control built in?

IMO, people are over-reacting to this acquisition. There are no plans to absorb Ecobee's technologies into another product and make it disappear overnight.

The acquisition is expected to close in the fourth quarter. Ecobee CEO and founder Stuart Lombard told The Verge that he will stay on as CEO, and the company will operate as a subsidiary of Generac. It has no plans to move out of its Toronto office and has plans to โ€œsignificantlyโ€ grow the office later this year, Lombard said.

If anything, having new capital to now invest in product development will allow Ecobee to grow again.

I agree and will take this opportunity to scarf up one more Ecobee from the "over reactors"
