Emergency Heat is "Unknown"

My Emergency Heat feature has only ever show "Unknown" as status. I am pretty sure that emergency heat has been activated this winter.


My thermostat is a TH8321WF.

Looking through the code I don't actually think that device is used at all; instead it's a System Mode. So if your emergency heat is kicking on, you should see that in the status of that device and the "Emergency Heat" device shouldn't be there anymore - it might have been how I indicated that once upon a time and I just never got rid of the device.

I was wondering if that might be the case but "Operating Mode" does not have an "Emergency Heat" status.

I consider that just "Heat" either way.

This is fixed in 4.2.1.0 which will likely be available on the updater Monday or Tuesday, depending on Homeseer's holiday schedule. The Emergency Heat device will be removed when the first update happens for each thermostat.
