New to this and trying out plugin

I downloaded your plugin for hS4 on my Hometroller (Linux). I have been wanting a floor plan interface and like what I see. I had a similar setup on my HS3 computer. I am now using a Hometroller and I was able to upload my drawing of my floor plan. (It shows rather large). I downloaded your light bulbs zip and started to add them via the image uploader per your setup instructions. I made a couple of mistakes and wanted to delete the 2 icon but when I click the X it does nothing and does not delet, do i need to do it in another screen? I dont quite understand the uploading of the light bulb to the same name either.

Hi, thanks for getting in touch.

I've spent some time on squashing these bugs, meaning an update will hit everyone in the next couple of days (1.0.2.0). It should fix
- Your issue with duplicate images with the same name and number
- Your issue with deleting the images.

I also added a bonus feature (control widgets for buttons); It just didn't feel right pushing an update without features.

That being said: Your configuration looks a bit weird. For the lights in my home, I have two sorts: Those whose control values go from 0 to 255, and those whose control values go from 0 to 100. Therefore, my image configuration looks like this:


You can see the control range of your lights by using the regular homeseer control panel. Click a device -> status/graphics -> click the feature controlling the light. This screen should show you what numeric value means "on" and "off" for this device. So: Make sure your "image numbers" match up with the expected control values for the device you intend to control!

Ok looking forward to the update, I will delete my wrong lamps and add the correct ones. I am using zwave lamps and will check the brightness scale to use. Can you put a return to devices on the home page so you dont have to click the back arrow?

You should have a toolbar at the top of your screen when using both the image uploader and the house designer, for quick access to the main HomeSeer user interface.

This toolbar has been omitted from the house controller screen because the primary use-case for this plugin is to run that screen on tablets and such, where such a toolbar would not only get in the way, but also take up precious screen real-estate.

I saw the update today and it would not update I kept getting an error. I went ahead and tried to uninstall which it let me do. Now when I try to install again this is the error screen i get. Any ideas?

This updater issue is beyond my control I think. Would you mind posting that question on one of the more HS-plugin oriented boards for (hopefully) a HS development team member to see?

no i tried to install a different plugin and it installed ok. I only show 4 plugins and I know I have a limit of 5. I dont know what board to possibly post on, you have any suggestions?

Ok let me know if I need to I can post or possibly reload HS4. I did update to the latest HS4 4.2.0.0. I dont know if I have a corrupted HS4 file or linux that could be causing problem.

That did it, Thanks so much I will try to setup again. I was able to get it to load the plugin, however now I can upload one png floorplan and it wont let me load any other plan being jpg or png i get the error below. With the one floorplan which I did load when I try to add the icon to the house designer nothing shows up on the page. I am trying to figure out if I need to make all the floorplans under different names and the same with lights. I will attach some screen shots when i add the icon to the designer it wont add any floorplan. Any ideas? Thanks for your support.

Wow, that's interesting. Just to be clear: Right now, this plugin only supports showing one floor plan at a time, so no point in uploading multiple.

That being said, You shouldn't be getting errors. For debugging that second image, I need more info. Would you mind digging out the true error?
- right click on the page and select "inspect"
- Access the network tab
- Reproduce the issue
- There should be lots of new lines in the network tab. The one I'm interested in is the one with the name "image-uploader.html" and the type "xhr".
- Click on it and select the "response" tab to the right. I'm interested in what it says.

For that first image... hmm. It shows no image whatsoever no matter what you select as "floor plan image"? If you right click on the page yet again and select inspect, selecting the "console" tab this time, does it show any errors?

ok I thought it supported multiple, I will try your suggestions. I still dont get the floor plan displayed in the house designer and it will only let me upload a png file. Here are some attachments. this is the data from the image uploader and the response tab. I could not find "xhr".
