World Air Quality Index (WAQI) Aqicn (Air Quality Open Data Platform)

Note: Ver 4.0.5.30 I converted the AQICN (WAQI) provider to standard standalone WAQI provider for consistency:
https://forums.homeseer.com/forum/hs...ider-important - so it's now configured as any other provider, so rest of this post is deprecated.
    World Air Quality Index provider.

Note: for configuration see this post https://forums.homeseer.com/forum/hs...39#post1470239

    Hello Alex,

You asked me what other devices you should consider adding and the Purple Air might be worth a lot if their is an audience.
I do not own this, it has a big usage in the USA especially after the California fires

My primary AQI device is the A3 UradMonitor but has.a very small usage even on here...

Data is also available through a local API (JSON) [iP_Address/j

Thank you Tim, I'll have a look.

But FYI, World Air Quality Index is international project, it's not really working with specific device network - instead it's providing data from local authorities (shown in Attribution device)

Alex, I knew the above but I also know that there is no stations, in what I consider close to me and at times I have seen big discrepancies between my data and the three closet EPA stations that are also used by the WAQI.

Australia, including in EPA In Melbourne actually has very limited AQ stations and that is why for the last nearly 6 years I have ran my own.

After the California bush fires a number of years ago, it was for the same reason that the purple air got so much attention.

I use an app named Local Haze, and the data sources, including mine, are from other than official EPA stations.

How do you change the "Air Quality Link" to point to a different location? It's pointing to a location about 70 miles from me, but there may be a station closer to me.

Based on you coordinates it finds nearest station registered with World Air Quality Index - if you set Log level to Trace (on the Setting page) - you should see in the HS log that it's passing you coordinates i.e.

Thanks! I just noticed that when I did the HS3 to HS4 upgrade it changed my location. The station AKWeather was pointing to was perfect for that location. I just updated to my correct location in HS4 settings. How do I get AKWeather to recognize the location change?

When you create a Location - the coordinates are used from HS config, but then they are stored in the Location, so you can have different Locations.

So you can either create a new Location, or can update the coordinates for existing Location
